Request for Proposal (RFP) 1229 Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) Assessments

The Contra Costa County Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD) Children and Family Services (CFS) Bureau is pleased to announce Request for Proposals (RFP) 1229 seeking qualified agencies with expertise and experience in completing the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) Assessment tool to perform CANS assessments for children/families involved with Contra Costa County child welfare in accordance with the Continuum of Care Reform (CCR) and the Integrated Core Practice Model.

Program funding is estimated at $1,300,000 for the period January 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Funding includes State General funds and State 2011 Realignment funds.

The County has the ability to award the successful Bidder an eighteen (18) month contract with the possibility of a twenty-four (24) month contract renewal and/or contract extension based upon current County staffing, satisfactory performance, and available funding.

Final proposal submissions are due by 5:00 p.m. PST on Monday, December 1, 2025, without exception.ย
