Are you homeless and need to pick up mail?
The United States Postal Service (USPS) will no longer allow Contra Costa County Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD) to request General Delivery mail service on behalf of customers.
In order to receive ongoing mail from EHSD, please provide a mailing address where you can pick up your mail. The mailing address that you choose can be:
- The mailing address of a trusted friend, relative or other secure address where mail can be received, as long as you have permission to receive mail at that location.
- A General Delivery mail service address, however you must set up this service individually with the Post Office.
- A PO Box.
- Call the EHSD automated information line at (866) 663-3225 to update your mailing address.
- Call your current Eligibility Worker and provide an alternate address.
- Go Online and Report a Change of Address by logging in to EHSD.org website
- Go Online to BenefitsCal and click Report Changes and follow the instructions to report a change of address
