CCWORKS, a component of the CalWORKs/Welfare to Work program, is an employment program that is highly successful and provides employment training, subsidized work experience, childcare, and supportive services for CalWORKs jobseekers.
This program is designed to connect jobseekers with employment opportunities, which will ultimately lead them to self-sufficiency and independence.
CCWORKS provides a substantial wage subsidy to employers who hire eligible jobseekers for full or part time positions throughout Contra Costa County. Participating CCWORKS employers may qualify to receive wage subsidies equal to California state minimum wage.
There is no cost to participate in this program.
We can save you time and money by pre-screening applicants to meet your specific needs. CCWORKS takes pride in doing whatever it takes to connect businesses like yours with individuals who are ready, willing and able to work.
Due to COVID-19 all participant and business intake is being done remotely. All meetings and correspondence are conducted via phone and internet. Resources may be available to help support remote work activities of our participants.
