Request for Proposal (RFP) 1226 – Older Americans Act (OAA) Title IIIC Senior Nutrition Program – West County

The Contra Costa County Employment & Human Services Department (EHSD), Aging and Adult Services (AAS) Bureau, is pleased to announce the availability of funds through the Older Americans Act (OAA) Title IIIC Senior Nutrition Program – West County to serve West Contra Costa County residents.  The eligible service population for OAA Title IIIC Senior Nutrition Services are individuals sixty (60) years of age or older, with emphasis on those in greatest economic and social need with particular attention to low-income minority older individuals, older individuals with Limited English Proficiency, older individuals residing in rural areas, older individuals who are frail and/or homebound due to acute or chronic illness, incapacitating illness or are otherwise isolated which leaves them unable to shop, prepare or obtain meals. The AAS welcomes applications from public or nonprofit organizations that have demonstrable capacity to successfully deliver the services sought in this RFP.

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is the process by which the County will solicit proposals for the purpose of entering into a contract with selected respondents for a six (6)-month period from January 1, 2026 through June 30, 2026, with the possibility of an annual contract renewal and/or extension for three (3) additional years based upon satisfactory performance and available funding.  Program Funding for the six (6)-month period from January 1, 2026 through June 30, 2026 is currently anticipated to be $247,027 and funding for the entire fiscal year 2025/2026 is currently anticipated to be $494,054.
