Celebrating All Ages
Contra Costa County’s first age-friendly campaign
Our Celebrating All Ages campaign is about spotlighting the vibrant contributions of older adults and fostering stronger connections across generations.
Age does not define ability, potential, or value.

Why It Matters
Ageism - bias or discrimination based on age - can be subtle, but harmful. It affects how we think about getting older, how we interact across generations, and how we allocate resources in our community. The Celebrating All Ages campaign challenges stereotypes about older adults and invites people of every generation to be part of building an age-friendly Contra Costa County.Campaign Goals
Dispel Age Bias - Older adults contribute meaningfully to our society.
Challenge Myths About Getting Older – Older adults can learn new things, are vibrant, engaged, tech savvy, capable, diverse, active, and so much more.
Encourage Intergenerational Connections – Everyone can strengthen bonds between age groups.
Promote Respect Across Ages – Each stage of life offers unique perspectives and valuable experiences that we can all celebrate.
Celebrate Lifelong Contributions – Older adults bring great value to our communities, workplaces, and families.
