2013 CFS Accomplishments

We protect children from abuse and neglect and work with families to assist them in reaching their full potential. When families cannot safely care for their children, we place the children with relatives and families that can make a lifelong commitment to them. Below is a summary of the services provided in 2013.

Emergency Response

Our screening line received over 20,000 calls and our staff completed over 5,800 face-to-face assessments.

Family Maintenance

Provided casework services to over 500 children and their families each month during 2013.

Family Reunification

Provided casework services to over 700 children and their families each month during 2013.

Permanency Planning

We provided casework services to over 800 children living with relatives, foster parents, or in group home care.

Provided extended foster care services to 198 children over the age of 18 in 2013.


We finalized 85 adoptions in 2013.

Independent Living Skills Program

We provide an array of services to youth to assist them in living independently.

Our  ILSP foster youth graduating from High School (73) will be doing the following upon leaving foster care this year;

Attending College 47
Attending Technical school 8
Work 9
Participating in Vocational School/Job Corps/Conservation Corps 8
