Structure: New Aging & Adult Services Bureau organizational
structure and management staffing fully put in place December 1999.
APS
Emergency Response: Establishment of 24 hour, seven day per
week emergency response capability for Adult Protective Services.
Casework:
Implementation of new casework standards and comprehensive case management
activities for Adult Protective Services in compliance with mandates
of SB 2199.
MSSP Outreach:
Successful outreach to locate and identify appropriate and eligible
clients for Linkages and MSSP case management programs which has
resulted in 300 clients as of June 2000.
Medi-Cal
Outreach and Advocacy: Implementation of Medi-Cal Outreach
and Advocacy program in cooperation with County Health Services which
has resulted in trained Medi-Cal Advocacy workers available in all
parts of the County to assist Medi-Cal applicants with the eligibility
determination process.
Grants:
Successfully competed for Long Term Care Integration Pilot Project
planning grant in cooperation with Health Services Department.
